2014 IDAHO AUG 30

This is a nice camp ground and was able to wash the camper and left Blue Lake about 10 heading for Spokane, Wa. It was 51 deg and felt like 60-65 at home≥ Stopped at visitors center in Sand Point but no good for us going to Washington. One lady recommended stopping at Billy's Burger in Wilbur for the best hamburgers in the world so we put it on our list.

Continued on to in Lady Lake resort area about 30 miles before Spokane and a mini tornado had come thru and damaged a lot of trailers at the park.  Drove right thru the middle and not impressed but it is a long way across at least 12 miles, really spread out. Made one wrong turn in a construction area and had to use GPS  to get out.

Coming out of Spokane was miles of wheat fields and all of a sudden it was a lot of exposed lava rocks thus it was only good for grass lands. Found out later the top soil had been washed away ions ago.

Finally made it to Billy's Burgers restrauant in Wilbur. It is a little 60's time of place with rock a billy music. The hamburger was good. Wilbur is also noted for the alien crop circles a few years ago. Several newspaper articles were posted around. They had posted a "certificate of award" commemorating the events. None have appeared lately.

Went on to Grand Coulee Dam  but waste of time as they do not show anything any more because of security. Spent 30 minutes on security and bus rides 30 minutes looking at water pumps that pump lake water into an adjacent lake for irrigation purposes.

Looked to camp in the area but one site we reserved was not acceptable and went on. Finally found a good camp site at the Town Camp ground in  Coulee City, full hook up $30.Labor day weekend causing problems.
