2014 WASHINGTON AUG 30

Got up early and went on to the end of Rt 2 in Everett ( well almost) The traffic was heavy and we took I 5 south to South Prarier RV park where we had reserved a spot. This was a mistake as it was mostly long term local workers, paid for WIFI but did not work right, cable did not work, Went to bed and got out early.
Since we were on the south side we went to see Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens. We got there early and was able to see the mountain before the clouds came in.

We walked out into a stream bed that floods in the spring and I bet that is spectacular because it is very wide and deep, over 20 ft. We putted along and it took about 3 hours to go thru.

St Helens was different it was enclosed in clouds and we only went in the East side toward Spirit Lake. The road was rough and step drop offs so we cut it short.

We reserved a spot in GIG Harbor RV park and went there, arriving about 6, very long day. This is a very nice Good Sam's CG and wished we could have gotten in the day before but it was labor day weekend.
